The Story
It was October 26, 2011 and I was in one of my favorite treestands for an evening of hunting. Not five minutes after getting settled in to my stand, two doe emerged from the brush. Knowing that the rut was on it's way and not being too much of a meat hunter, i decided to let them pass. Not long after a six point showed up. Being 17 I had to let him walk. At around 6:00 my buck emerged. He walked right under my stand and turned giving me a perfect 10 yard broadside shot. The deer was a 9 point with a 14.5 inch spread and weighed 165 pounds. My Bear Lights Out did the job with the deer only running 45 yards and piling up. This is the third buck I've killed in my three seasons of archery hunting with my Lights Out. Thanks Bear Archery!!
