I decided at the last minute to go on an evening hunt on a warm evening in western Pennsylvania and it paid off. At 6:30 p.m. I saw the tall-tined 8-point working his way in my direction and he ultimately ended up directly below my feet. I let him walk forward a couple of steps before taking the shot, which dropped the 230 lb. monster within just 30 yards of my stand. He has 10-inch G2s and 8-inch G3s, and was a 3 1/2 year-old deer. Not bad for Pennsylvania for sure!
